Dr. Jade Pestritto is a proud Italian-American and South Florida native who went to Nova High School and was an active volunteer, completing over 400 hours of community service, at the Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, Dr. Pestritto went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude with her Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She received clinical honors during her medical externships at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia PA, Lake City VA Hospital, as well as with multiple South Florida ophthalmologist in various specialties. She completed extensive training in treating all primary eye care and ocular disease conditions including dry eye disease, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and cataracts. Dr. Pestritto also is trained in pre/post operative care and co-manages both Lasik and cataract surgery with local surgeons.
Dr. Pestritto believes it is important to create an environment that is centered on patients feeling cared for by spending the additional time required for patients to fully understand their ocular health and how it can affect their general health. She is excited to have the opportunity to serve the community she grew up in and cannot wait to develop lasting positive relationships with her patients.
Dr. Pestritto is a member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, and Broward County Optometric Association.
